In Samastipur’s Mohan Nagar police station case (87/26), SIT investigation exposed a drug trafficking network and a fake shooting incident. 19 grams of heroin recovered and one accused arrested.

Samastipur / Alam Ki Khabar:A major case from Mohan Nagar police station area in Samastipur district, which was initially registered as a shooting and robbery incident, has now taken a serious turn after a detailed SIT investigation. The case has revealed a suspected drug trafficking network and a fabricated story behind the incident, creating a sensation across the district.

According to the official press release from the Superintendent of Police’s office and a press briefing by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Patori, the investigation has uncovered several shocking facts that completely changed the direction of the case.

Initially, the injured complainant Shubham Kumar had alleged that he was shot at during a robbery and around two lakh rupees were looted from him. Based on this statement, a criminal case was registered at Mohan Nagar police station under case number 87/26.

However, as the SIT deepened its investigation, inconsistencies began to emerge in the original version of events. The findings suggested that Shubham Kumar and his associate Rajesh Kumar Singh were allegedly involved in illegal drug trafficking activities.

Police investigation revealed that on the day of the incident, Shubham Kumar was carrying narcotic substances and a firearm while travelling on a motorcycle. During this time, a firearm allegedly kept at his waist accidentally discharged, injuring his own leg.

Instead of reporting the incident truthfully, it is alleged that Shubham Kumar later attempted to convert the accidental firing into a robbery and shooting narrative in order to mislead the investigation.

During interrogation, Rajesh Kumar Singh provided key inputs that further exposed contradictions in the statements. He revealed that Shubham Kumar called him to different locations and provided inconsistent versions of the incident. When he reached the spot, he found Shubham Kumar injured and lying on the ground, with conflicting explanations being given about how the incident occurred.

A major breakthrough came when, based on Rajesh Kumar Singh’s information, police recovered 19 grams of heroin (50 small packets) hidden near a peepal tree close to Baluaahi Panchayat Bhawan. Following this recovery, a new case was registered under the NDPS Act sections 8(C), 21(B), and 22(B).

Rajesh Kumar Singh has been arrested and sent to judicial custody, while further investigation into Shubham Kumar’s role is ongoing. Police teams are also conducting raids to recover the firearm used in the incident.

According to police officials, the entire investigation details were officially presented by the SDPO Patori during a press conference, confirming that all findings are part of an authorized police briefing.

 Public Reaction:

Local residents have expressed mixed reactions to the case. Some believe that strict action against drug networks is necessary, while others have raised concerns over the functioning of police in certain subdivisions. However, many also appreciated the SIT’s role in uncovering the truth behind a case that initially appeared to be a simple robbery and shooting incident.

Conclusion:

The case, which initially appeared to be a simple shooting and robbery incident, has now turned into a major exposure of a drug trafficking network and a fabricated story attempt. The SIT investigation is still ongoing, and more arrests and revelations are expected in the coming days.
